Only one is available for sale. This brace is an early prototype that was very labor intensive to make and one that I chose not to duplicate. It is a lightweight and 50% stiffer aluminum alloy version of the hour glass shaped steel OEM brace installed on most all Generation III 2010-2012 Prius models including most earlier versions of the Prius"v." This brace weighs 1 pound 3 ounces as opposed to the OEM braces 1pound 7 ounces. It was mounted and tested on my own Prius"v." In comparison, the hour glass shape of the OEM brace makes the center section less stiff. The wider section of the custom brace increses stiffness. One very important design feature that I have found from the design of these braces is that the ends of the brace must allow the brace to "twist" to prevent long term damage to the car's frame rails. It's like designing a bridge or a building to withstand an earthquake. Those structures that do NOT flex are destroyed by fatigue of fracture. The original prototype has been carefully cleaned and finished with 3 coats of "self etching" aluminum primer and 2 coats of bright blue oven baked enamel in the same color as the Cusco braces. The lightening holes, which affect stiffness very little were too time consuming to mill and to finish.
