I'm curious to see who has the most miles on their Prius? Also, what problems have you experienced during owning the car? Robotic Lawnmower Forums http://forums.robomower.biz
I just have a bit over 18k on it. No problems yet, and 5k mile oil change interval helps too. If you want to change oil yourself, it's easy to do too with this car. I replaced the OEM tires to Goodyear comfortread before winter hits after reading some ppl's posts. And occasional wind noise at highway speeds. MPG is pretty good. Got couple of low 60's in the summer. Best one was 63MPG tank (who said they can't get EPA?). And doing mid 40's to 50's now in the winter. I drive 80% highway at about 60 to 70 MPH depends on traffic. Reading posts on PriusChat and knowing how the car works will help you get better MPG if you are willing to learn.
Here's some previous polls for you: Do Prius Owners drive more because of good mpg? http://priuschat.com/index.php?showtopic=1...&hl=prius+miles How many Miles on on your Prius odometer? http://priuschat.com/index.php?showtopic=7...=prius+odometer
I'm coming up on 48k already, and not a single problem, just a few 'special service campaigns' (the SSC's) - regular oil changes at 5k intervals, tires replaced (with same make and model as factory originals) at 42,000. Lifetime average around 52mpg. -m.
At 19.5k, doing very well. 60+ mpg in summer, 48-51 winter. Use Mobil 1 oil. Engine compartment is clean. Lifetime average right at 50 mpg.
23,000kms, 1¼ years old, 2 oil changes one tyre rotation. If you can read japanese, it's probably better to check out the japanese sites where they probably have owners from the original 1997/98 model. I do realise Japanese tend to have lower mileage cars but you know, doesn't hurt to look.
