Has anyone installed a side ramp to help an older dog get into the back seat? I've done lots of research - there are a couple that come with a strap that attaches to the car door. I got one of those butitis too heavy and unwieldy. I really want something that could be installed and slips out or something.
Don't know if these would be an option for you, try drsfostersmith.com - click on Dog tab, then you'll see Aids for Arthritic Dogs. Several different types of ramps there is a Ultralight Bifold Ramp that folds, but I don't know if it would work with the space you have. You might also look at their ComfortLift Carrier or Silver Tails Easy-Lift Rear Harness
Have looked at these. Have looked at a gazillion ramps. I want something built in since I am old too and can't lift stuff. Thanks though.
Hiya, I just found this thread, and I'm looking for exactly the same thing. I wondered if you found one?
Some of the ramps I looked at are only 11lbs. Here is an example: PetStep HalfStep II Dog Ramp (39" Long) More: Dog Ramps: Dog Boots | Dog Shoes | Dog & Cat Diapers, Supplements, and Mobility Aids by Senior Pet Products 10lb folding unit: SOLVIT UltraLite Bi-Fold Ramp | Revival Animal Health
