Maybe this was me being way too fussy, but I hated the way the exhaust pipe looked coming out of the tail end of the Prius. I went to my local hardware store and found a chrome exhaust tip that fit like it was made for the car. The dimensions you will need are : 2 inches in diameter by 9 inches long. Standing back behind my Prius v gives the backend a more finished classy look.
Oxymoron........you should have bought a duel exhaust burner......not an electric hybrid that reeks green!
I hated the tailpipe as well, but I took the opposite solution. 2012 Tesla Model S Pictures/Photos Gallery - The Car Connection
Thanks. Its actually a full exhaust system, not just the tailpipe. I've done more to my v than I can list. Those wheels are my first set and I actually have a new set on now. In short, wheels/tires, upgraded stereo, coilovers, exhaust, chassis bracing, and several other mods. If you search the threads you can find my threads on some of the upgrades I have added.
Thanks, but to not confuse anyone, my car is much dirtier and the scenery isn't nearly as scenic. Just showing that one as an example of my solution to not liking the tailpipe;-)
Recommend you ensure there's enough clearance between your new exhaust tip and the bumper. There's another thread on this topic and one of the posters mentions that the exhaust tip was too close to the bumper and the heat caused the bumper to melt slightly: Tail pipe tip | PriusChat
