I've been offered a deal of $25,540 on a new 2013 base model Prius IV. With tax and tags it brings me to about $27,300. Can anyone tell me if this is a deal worth taking? The price includes a $1000 rebate until April 1st so I need to act quickly.

I've been quoted different prices everywhere - not sure who/what to believe. I so dislike the car buying experience - I feel like very few people in the process are honest.

Thank you for your advice. (please excuse x-post, no replies on the original)

Hi Duke I think it's a good price. I live in Northern California, I just paid $27,400. before tax+DMV for a Blizzard Pearl four. with no extras. Boo, seems like I paid too much. And I went through Costco's fleet program.

if you can get out of there without any add on's, it's a very fair price. all the best!

That's what I paid for my 2013 4. I thought it was a great deal, except for the NAV, it is junk and you payed a big $ for it, but that's another story. No getting around it, unless you get a 3.
