I have become the proud owner of an almost new set of 215x45-17 summer tires, FREE. I would like to get a set of 17" wheels, but can't afford Prius wheels. Does anyone know of any Toyota/Lexus model that may be suitable, so that I can look for a used set? Before you all jump down my throat for not searching, I did. Found lots of info on TPMS, lowering the car, etc, but no interchange. Can anyone help?
You just need to find a set wheels that are 17x7 with offset near +40. Bolt pattern 5x100. The store you buy them from should have all these details.
There are plenty of options at TireRack.com and DiscountTire.com. Or drive to America's Tire and see what they have. The Lexus CT200h wheel also fits as does the Scion FR-X with spacers. I hope you are getting really awesome tires because a non-LRR 17" tire is going to CRUSH your mpg. LOL
I drove a mid 2000 Subaru (non STI model) and they use 5x100 wheels , however offset is i believe anywhere between 48 - 54 mm. Most other aftermarket wheels for WRX will fit the Prius. If I would have known this I would have kept a set of wheels from my previous car
Previous generation Scion TC and Toyota Matrix had a 17" rim option with a 5x100 as does the Lexus CT200h.
