I recall a few routines with a Robin Williams and Jonathan Winters that were gut splitting humor. Jonathan was funnier than funny and was quick to mentor the younger comedians. In many cases the favors were returned. He became sick once in his life for depression and took time to recoup, on the day of his release from the hospital he was offered a job for it's a mad mad mad world. He accepted. He retired in Monticeto Ca and was often the life of the local community. YouTube
He's gone off to "the big W" in the sky I tell you... A real original, he'll be missed. Mad... Mad...World is one of my all-time favorite films, and he's one my favorites in it. Sadly, they just don't make films like that any more, or actors like JW any more...
