Hi guys! pretty new to the forum here, although I've been lurking around for awhile. I recently purchased a used 2010 Prius. I want to know which model trim (II, III) it is. Unfortunately I cannot make it out from the radio as the previous owner put an aftermarket eclipse unit on it. I take it the III has a bluetooth, but where are the controls for the bluetooth? I have a call button along with an UP/DOWN button, but I dont know if its stock or if the owner added it before hand. Are the manuals different between the models? I haven't had the chance to dig them up yet or any information pertaining to which model it is.
Toyota Vehicles : Toyota Announces Prices for 2010 Prius / Toyota No, I'm pretty sure there's no specific manual for the different trim levels. You can download the manual from Toyota Online Owners Manuals and Warranty but it sucks that it's broken up into so many PDFs.
I still have my 2010 advertising brochure and that indicates if you have a phone control on the left spoke of the steering wheel below the round mode switch it's a III, if not it's a II.
2010 Three bluetooth must be on the left silver trim on steering wheel like mine. Has voice activation button on top, hang up and answer buttons below. Do you have voice activated feature? If the buttons are labeled 'call' 'up / down' , then it sounds aftermarket. Do you have the OEM tweeters on rear doors and JBL labels on speaker grills and small amp under pass. seat? That's a Three.
Amen to that. I was happy that Toyota offered an Owners Website with access to a online owners manual. But why they broke it up into so many parts, with no real accesible index is beyond me. Makes the whole thing very difficult to use. Yes, my 2013 II, only has drivers door SKS sensor. So if you can't walk up to any other locked door with the SKS in your pocket and open it? Then it would be a II. That's an easy way to know if you have a II or not.
Or if you don't have the key to test it with, just look on the trunk button for the round lock/unlock button or lack of. If it's no round button, then it's a II.
Yep. True of the 2010 II and III as well. Yeah. Very annoying. Someone here did put compile all the parts of the 2010 Prius manual into a single PDF, but unfortunately, after a few years, it was pulled by the mods due to copyright reasons/fears.
The pdf arrangement isn't that bad--if you open the alphabetical index file online it hot links to the appropriate files directly.
The 2010 Three had smart key on driver's door only. Same with my 2011. They didn't have 3 door smart key in Three until 2012 model, the mid cycle refresh.
