I have had my 2013 Prius v for one month. I will occasionally go into my garage and the car will be making noise that sounds like humming. Does anyone know what this is and is it normal?
If it's approximately 5 hours after being powered off, it's likely the evap leak check. See Fan sound at passenger side rear of car after being parked | PriusChat. I've personally been in my garage at the right time for it to happen but I know it's not exactly at the 5 hour mark when it starts. I'm unclear how long it runs for as well.
If you have keys it might be what I was told were brakes doing something preparing to start. It makes a lot of odd noises. W
