Started to tear Down front drivers side strut until I got to 3rd mounting screw on top of strut. It's tough to get to and needs a 12 point 12 mm offset wrench, not the 12mm standard wrench I used to strip it with. Anyway, has anyone changed their mc strut and beside the PITA area to work in, is their any advise on how to here. 2006 Prius
I haven't done this job yet, but the AlldataDIY shop manual says to pull the wiper arms, wiper motor and cowl to gain access to the top strut mounting bolts. Hope this helps.
I agree that it is necessary to remove the cowl tray. This is not a very difficult task and will make access to the top of the front struts much easier. Hints Regarding Replacement of 2G Front Struts | PriusChat
