Haven't been to a movie theater since 1996. Last movie I paid to see was Courage under Fire. Not anti-social, just too busy.
Wow that is a long time. Theater technology progressed plenty with digital video and surround sound. You may want to see it in 3D. Always good to set time aside for yourself , family, friends and yes entertainment. I think you may enjoy the film.
My home theater is friendlier, has better popcorn, not to mention my 55" screen and wonderful Dolby 5.1 system. 3D sucks as far as I am concerned. Too many headaches, literally! Besides, with the home theater, Lucky and Sophie, our Cats , love the trailers.....we indulge them!
Paramount announced a sequel is planned My set up is a 7.1 and that is now old hat. They have 9.2, with 4K TV's. 3D died an ugly death in the TV world. My system is 6 years old, Pioneer Elite most expensive stereo they sold at the time. It is underutilized with Multi Room capability. The upscalling to HD was the Bomb back then and you had to pay for it. Now cheap DVD players have that capability and pass through at the Receiver level. Martin Logan Mosiac speakers all around, Sony Blue Ray player with HD Stereo w Netflix streaming, etc. Sony LCD TV, it replaced a defective Toshiba Plasma, speaker wire behind the walls. Now they have Sub's built into leather recliners and Theater Rooms. What little we watch we enjoy our Multimedia investment. I want to get 9 more years out of my Receiver, speakers etc (TV if it lasts) before I do a Fork Lift upgrade and replace everything. But I still believe the Big Screen Theater is a different experience. I probably go to the movies 2 times a month and more when good stuff is out.
