You may know him as Tony Soprano the famous gangster from the HBO drama series The Sopranos. James was 51 years old and passed away in Italy today from a possible heart attack. Great actor and I have read a all around great guy. I didn't know him but enjoyed his acting. RIP James and Godspeed.
That is very sad. I grew up in North Jersey and loved the Sopranos and also a couple other of his movies. Couldn't believe the news, and only 51, shame.
Shame, quite young. Loved the Sopranos... Paulie Walnuts (Tony Sirico) lives in the building right outside the entrance to where I work in Brooklyn. I've ran into him about half a dozen times in the area over the years, pretty nice guy...
Never watched The Sopranos, but he was excellent as the ultra-sleazy porn producer Eddie Poole in 8mm and as the iron-fisted but unstable prison warden in The Last Castle. RIP...
Sad. We did not get HBO but we did not need to, as we lived in Jersey and experienced a lot of it first hand right down to the landfills. The show was incredible more than a show really.
