Mercedes-Benz S-Class plug-in hybrid coming to Frankfurt

    Mercedes-Benz S-Class plug-in hybrid coming to Frankfurt - Autoblog


    Both Porsche (see other thread) and Mercedes are touting 20 miles AER on their PHVs (Autoblog got 24 miles on the Porsche Panamera S e-Hybrid). Toyota's 11 AER EPA rating seems a little weak in comparison.

    If one looks at the numbers, regular hybrids of the same car sold this past June 2013, the number of their correspondent plug-ins should be expected to be even lower.

    all these plugins are done because it lowers cars average consumption, which lowers their CO2, which then significantly lowers their taxes in some countries :)
