I'm on a 3-month waiting list for a pkg#6 with 2 months still to go. I called my dealer today to get an update and he says "good thing you got in when you did, I was going to call you...". He tells me that Toyota is reducing Prius production by a third for the first quarter of 2006 because of Camry parts allocation. So the wait for newcommers is now 4 to 6 months! Is this a hype tactic or is it based on facts? I'm already tired of waiting, maybe I should explore the broker route?
Yeah, it's temporary just so that they can make inventory for the Camry as the Prius shares the same plant.
