Here in Kentucky Ill be the only one with it - Cool right? I haven't decided if I'll buy the legit grille cover from Japan or vinyl wrap it matte black - thoughts on that subject are very much welcomed.
vinyl wrapping the aero fins on the tail lights are difficult from what my vinyl guy explained to me. something to think about. I made a suggestion that perhaps he could cut around the fins but I never got it done. I personally got my front bumper portion vinyl'd with matte black rather than buying the JDM piece. It was a tough choice though... Personally, I prefer 16s with the C.
My concerns would be the weight of the rims, stock is about 15 lbs. A lot of people are having success with plasti-dip on their grill. Maybe you could also get some red plasti-dip for the taillight, the fin would be a pain to wrap.
I'm sharing your thoughts on the reverse lights. I had my side piece wrapped in a white 3M vinyl by my local vinyl place. It turned out pretty well and matches okay. Only cost 100 bucks and they did the front bumper piece in matte black. Those are more the idea I'm planning on going with. Red clear vinyl on the round parts. However, on second look.. Those JDM ones do wrap the entire side in red..
i plan on installing this on the rear lights but i want do it myself but dont know how easy doing the fins would be
The fins would be a PITA. My vinyl place has a more pliable vinyl they could have used but using the regular stuff mine's starting to pop. They said the alternative is to cut the fins out or cut lines so the fins are separate, but that would cause dirt to gather in between the vinyl. I've been lazy with the pictures. Maybe tomorrow I'll get around to it.
