I have a iPhone 4s that I use to stream audio. While I can stream music without I problem, I can change songs or playlists from the head unit. Is there a way to remedy this or does the phone have to be plugged in for this to work? Thanks
Do you have the Display Audio with Navi or the Premium HDD Navi? What is the OS on your iphone 4S? Where is your problem?
Good question. I have a Prius Three which comes with the Entune with Navi. Not sure which unit that is. I have the latest iOS, 6.1.3. The controls started working again. I may just look to plugging the iPhone in from now on since I can take advantage of the data connection. Another oddity is the album art. It will display album art from a couple of songs, then generic Toyota genre art for others. It's a shame Toyota dropped the ball on their head units. Its been a great car other than that.
if you wish to use Entune (ie use Apps such as Pandora, Weather etc) without paying for a hotspot plan you have to connect the phone with a cable. With you have mobile hot spot plan you can use Entune wireless, there are many instructions on how to do that in the forum. If you are browsing and changing songs from the phone, the artwork does has issue getting updated. If you don't have artwork on the phone and Gracenotes cannot find a matching artwork to display it will show a Genric Genre art. Please confirm you have album art work. All these system out there are Apple certified. if you are doing Bluetooth Audio Streaming you should have controls on the head unit. if you are experiencing issue do report to the dealership, they are there to help.
