Does anyone know if Gen 3 seats will fit into Gen 2 Prius?

    My 2008 Prius is worth every cent I paid for it. However, even after installing ExtendMySeat rails, the front seats leave much to be desired in terms of comfort and driving position. I test drove a 2010 Prius 2 and the driver seat comfort and driving position is significantly improved.

    Has anyone tried swapping their old Gen II seats with 2010 or newer Prius seats?

    i'm sure it could be done, but its not a simple bolt on.

    That's really my question. It might be similar or at least might be able to bolt onto an extendaseat kit. The 2010+ seats provide more leg support and a lower seat bottom, allowing taller drivers to see out the top of the windshield better. At least that's my hope.

    you gonna have to mod it, its not a bolt in. and will the side airbags work? i don't think its been done yet.

    I'm hoping someone may have at least been able to compare the bolt pattern under the newer seats...

    You mean the seats in a G2 are less comfortable than the ones in a G3??!!

    I didn't think that was possible!!!

    You might be better served with an aftermarket seat, but I agree with the above post. It's going to be difficult to transplant a G3 seat into a G2 body.
