It would be informative to use the same map/data format and superimpose energy use by per capita in BTU's, waste use by per capita ton and CO2 generation per capita ton. The maps would likely trade peaks.
But they are not PER CAPITA and the original maps posted were about people and population so the data to superimpose in similar population format would PER CAPITA resource use and waste production. China, for example, would get much smaller, Europe a little smaller (they use 50% less energy than US and recycle more, less waste0)and US would get much bigger. Adding in historical CO2 for last 100 years (the actual cause of human accelerated global warming) and US and Europe would be 90% of the map. But to use the maps posted and to make them more informative, use the same format and superimpose per capita energy use, waste and CO2.
