I had an interesting experience today. I was driving 71-72 on an interstate with a 70 mph limit. In the distance, on a bridge I saw a bunch of police cars. Suddenly the Prius started beeping. No alarms went off on the MFD. Within seconds of the Prius beeping, I saw a cop crouched on the side of the highway pointing his radar gun right at the car. As soon as I passed the cop, the beeping stopped. So, I'm guessing the radar signal somehow overwhelmed the signal from the keyfob and the Prius momentarily lost connection to the keyfob signal which caused the beeping. Seem right?
LOL- I wish it were that. I did buy the car new. This does raise the question as to whether the Smart key system is vulnerable to electronic jamming.
