Folks, We were living with two plug-in vehicles (PiP and a Ford Fusion) and a TOU Level 2 EVSE on the wall until this week. I had adjusted my PiP's timer to start charging at 1:10 AM, since our lowest TOU for EV charging in Virginia runs from 1 AM to 5 AM. Son just left for Kentucky with the Fusion, so I wanted to re-adjust my charge start time back to 3:30 AM. Well, the charger timer in the PiP does start to blink (i.e. it enters "adjust time mode") but then the up/down time adjusting bar on the dash has zero effect on the actual time displayed. Anyone out there run into this? if so, any fixes you can share other than a dealer visit? I'm thinking I'll try a shot of WD-40...
In my (European) version the time adjustment is done with the 'clock' buttons (just below the timer switch) and not by the bar on the dash.
When I want to change my START time, I press and hold the charging timer switch until the START time display will change from solid to flashing. I then press the H (hour) button to change the Hour. Then I press and hold the charging timer switch again until the time display will change from flashing to solid, and the charging timer indicator on the instrument cluster will come on. There is No up/down time adjusting bar. What are you touching?
The same buttons set the regular clock, so if you can change the current time, it's not the buttons that are having a problem.
OK, I WAS touching the wrong thingie to adjust the start time - AND I was too lazy / self-assured to actually hunt through the manual. I thought I had remembered the procedure - but you just reminded me which buttons to use. Many thanks! Humbled by Priuschat
