These teardrop campers weigh about 950lbs and don't sit up higher than my Prius. Would any responsible tow-ers here dare to pull one of these? Does anyone ALREADY tow one?
Well, it's only 4 wide, maybe a little higher, and 700 pounds. I've towed it about 1500 miles with no problems. Mileage was about 32, instead of the 47 or so typical on the routes taken. I'd recommend using a Scangauge or Torque to monitor engine/MG1/MG2 temperatures. The only time I backed off was the long pull going north to the grapevine on I5 out of LA. Would not try it in the Rockies, but California is fine.
