Yes. You explained it better than I. Never take them one side on and one side off as over time it will really damage the suspension. Just take them slowly with both front wheels together. You'd think you'd halve the damage using only one wheel but it damages the bushes. I know they're designed to give but they wear big time. Some of my old colleagues could go through a set in 20,000 miles! and wondered why it was always on one side only.
Yikes, glad we moved out of our apartment complex. Not sure how many times we each went over speed bumps with one wheel. Hopefully the long-term damage is negligible, guess there's no knowing for sure.
If you are trying to save your mpg I would try to charge the battery going down slow at the bottom and power up the other side. your mpg will be low at the top but it will be better for your car and safer for everyone.
Right on! You have a Prius, right? Use the battery for why it's in there. Charge on the way down (save your suspension & your neighbors) and use it on the way up.
