last weekend i removed the headliner to deaden the roof and run my (alpine cde-hd149bt) mic up the a pillar. after removing the plastic a pillar pieces, i am having trouble fitting them back to their original position; just the very top where they meet the headliner - there is a very small gap. looks like i have altered the air bag clips, does anyone have any experience w these? has anyone else removed their plastic a pillar trim, if so, did you run into any problems?
I didn't run into problems but those two air bag clips are tricky. You have to rotate them 90 degrees to remove the pillar garnish and vice versa to install. I did this when installing my homelink mirror.
