We are shopping for A used Prius 2010,11 or 12. From an audio quality perspective, are there significant improvements (better choices) in certain years, or models within each year (10-13)? Thanks for sharing your knowledge. Dave
The stock JBL system changed in 2012 to the "Green Edge", and appears unchanged in 2013. The JBL system was only available in the "Four" and "Five" for 2012/13. A big step up from the base system.
We ended up buying a new 2013 Plug In (base not Advanced). Any idea which version of audio system the PIP Base has? Or how it compares to other/ previous Prius audio systems? The window sticker 'Standard Equipment' lists: "Display Audio w/Navigation & Entune: 6.1" Touch-Screen w/ backup Cam, AM/FM/CD w/MP3/WMA, 6 spkrs, SXM Radio w/90 day trial, HD Radio/Aux/USB & BluTooth." I have a 11 with a green edge JBL premium/ gps it is good but if you have had aftermarket audio save your pennies and get a car without the premium and go aftermarket
