Car Maintenance ? or Knowledgebas question?

    My 2005 Prius has 17777 miles and just got the software upgrade.
    Today I noticed that there is a orange car icon on the panel flashing when the car is powered off, in fact my son noticed tonight I think it just happened today. It looks like I have a security system which I don't...

    ANy ideas from the guru's out there?

    Without seeing which one you meant, I am guessing it is the "maintanence reminder".

    Is the FOB considered the Smartkey?

    Plus, I just had the car at 15,000 mile maintenance...the maintenance icon is different .

    smartkey is the thing where you can unlock and lock the doors without using the remote on the fob.

    it would help us out to know what package level your car has ;)

    Yes, it is the Smartkey....and after re-looking at the Owner's Manual....with the SmartKey I do have the Hybrid vehicle Immobilzer...must have been there all along....sighhh!!!

    Not sure which package I bought, but I do have the SmartKey system...
