shudder in reverse???

    I just got my C a couple days ago. I have noticed a shudder when I use reverse - it is very short duration, and always makes me think I have hit something. Seems to happen when the car is cold and I am leaving my garage. Is this a typical cvt thing or do I need to get it into the shop?

    ICE thing?? And what does ICE stand for?

    2008 Prius
    ICE - Internal Combustion Engine (aka the gas engine)

    The ICE will start-up at some point - it COULD be the "shudder" you feel.

    Reverse is fully electric in the Prius.
