    Hi Gang,

Lovin' my PIP so far. I'm looking at things that I want to add on. I picked up the Base because I just couldn't justify all the extras of the Advance. I really only wanted Nav and Blue Tooth, the rest wasn't justifiable.

That being said, there are somethings I will pick up.

I want to get a real spare. Even if it means loosing lots of trunk space. I spend a lot of time between So Cal and Flagstaff and don't want to be stuck on Route 66 w/o a spare.

I will probably pick up a leather cover for the steering wheel. My last car sat in the sun and the top of the steering wheel started to degrade over the years.

Next on the list is a set of collapsible window sun shades for the front windshield. Hopefully they will help keep the heat down and reduce the need for AC.

Now, what other stuff do you recommend to think about? Window Tinting? ODB II monitor w/iphone app?

I'm an absolute newbie, but have to say the OBD II adapter is an inexpensive and helpful addition. Two examples:
-- backup beep. Most annoying, and not a useful safety feature, since it can't be heard outside of the cabin. It was converted to a single beep this weekend.
-- understanding the car. battery and engine use.png
It is informative, I think, to see when ICE was kicking in, how the battery was discharging during the trip, and how speed affects RPM. Graph is dead simple using the adapter and Torque with logging. What can I say, I love data!

    Woody,

Thanks. Whats the process for seeing the graph? Is this a download and upload to computer, or is there some kind of real time option?

Both processes are possible. Torque has a real time graphing option, but that isn't its strong point. I used a triplog function and analyzed the data after the fact in Excel.

window tinting is very inexpensive and a great addition functionality and aesthetically
for the wheel i would recommend either a pip advanced retro or a jdm leather complete wheel

    Thanks Prius,

Not looking to replace the current wheel, just looking to protect it. (the old fusion is going to my son and he can deal with it as he wants).

    I agree on the tinting.

Any other suggestions for add ons?

there some really cool mods like
    stage10 shifter
    hid/led retro fit
trd lowering springs (if you're into that)
    rear sway bar (trd)
    Prius plus wheel
much more depending on your budget and weather you want aesthetics or strictly functionality

Budget isn't really a problem if its something that I want.....

Function over form first, but making it a tad cooler wouldn't break my heart either. I got it to save money on the commute, but you gotta like what ya drive, right?

That Stage10 shifter looks cool. The sway bar may make a lot of sense with the mountain driving i do on my way to work every day.
