I just pulled the trigger & made a deal on a 2014 Prius v! I have 3 Toyotas - 2002 Sienna XLE which is now for sale, a 2006 Tacoma Sport 4 door which is currently my primary vehicle (I love it when I need it as a truck but I shudder when I pull up to the pump, it's my daily driver too & I'm averaging 15.4 mpg which stinks) and lastly, my wife has a 2009 RAV4 Limited which we love but it too only gets 23.1 mpg on average. I'm really excited about the Prius - I have 2 kids that play hockey so I needed a vehicle I can get 2 bags into. Let the adventure begin. I'll post pictures when I take delivery of it next week.
I'm really loving the warm welcome with the hockey flavor! Thanks! I'm looking forward to taking delivery next week & cruising past gas stations!
Welcome To The Hybrid "Hive." You will be loving your new "Caddy In A Kimono" Pv5. What color did you choose?
I have taken my three teenagers to hockey in my v. Everything but the sticks fit easily. I put the sticks in, carefully.
Someone needs to do a mod so that the rear armrest can become a pass through. This would solve the hockey stick problem and also allow carrying skis while allowing 2 people to sit easily in the back.
Took delivery this past Monday & sold our 2002 Sienna Wednesday. I have almost 500 miles on it & I've loved the experience so far!! iPhone ?
Interesting to see the changes over the past 2 years in trim levels. Canadian models are slightly different in trim features obviously. In Canada we get Base, Luxury, Touring and Technology Package. I got the 2012 luxury package which came standard with resin moonroof, 16" wheels, softex, no foglights, basic display audio. Looks kind of odd to see a loaded out v with no resin roof. I kind of prefer the all Blizzard Pearl look without the blacked out roof as on my v, that said i love the resin moonroof when driving to let in some extra light. Feels like i'm driving a convertible without the wind messing up my hair or bugs getting in the car. Is the moonroof just an option or does it only come on the tech package now?
Congrats on your purchase! We've had our v5 for over 2 years and have accumulated over 15,000 trouble-free miles. It's a great vehicle ... lifetime average of 42.6mpg on ours.
