Toyota just told me my 12v battery was bad. It is only 9 months old. Is that normal? They are chcking to see if it is under warranty.Only mod I have is the HID headlights. I normally keep them on all the time so startup may be an issue
Retroft 35 W . Not a cheap ebay brand. The printout showed bad so they used another machine and it showed good. It was at 75 % which sounds odd. Will a weak battery prevent the EV mode from working as often as usual? Seems like when I run around town, it does not kick on when I am at a light as much. Retrofit HID this is the slip with battery test.
Bad battery causes a lot of problems. If you're using a 35w kit, why does yours use a relay harness? I have one from Xenon Supply and don't use a relay. Nine months sounds too early for a battery to go bad which was why my first question was if you had a relay. SGH-T999 ?
Half the people said get a relay and half said don't get a relay. So I thought it would be safe to get one. I stoppped leaving my lights on. So hope that helps.
