Hi everyone, New member here looking to get some help filling out the DMV REG 1000 form to get green replacement stickers. I was recently rear ended and need to get my stickers replaced. My car is currently leased and I wasn't sure how to fill out "Section A- Current Registered Owner Information." Should I put "Toyota Lease Trust" as the first owner and then my name as the co-owner or should I just put my name down? Also if I do put Toyota as the primary owner what would I put for the driver license or id card number field? My second question is that my original stickers were registered to the dealership I purchased the car from and I never got them transferred to my name. Would this be a problem when I am now trying to get replacement stickers under my name? Thanks
I would think you would be the Registered Owner. The lease company would be the "Legal Owner" that holds the "pink slip." HOV stickers are tied to the VIN, so that shouldn't be a problem regardless of you not transferring them to your name. At least in theory. We are talking about DMV here.
