I've been reading posts on this forum and appreciate the wealth of information available. We just bought our first Prius, a 2014 model v (lowercase v) Five. We will take delivery later this week. I was curious about the break in period. Any suggestions?
This is detailed in the manual. There's nothing really to do except be gentle for a couple K. I'd further suggest you download the full manual from Toyota and read it a few times.
Get it writing that applying your desired custiomizations is a condition of sale, otherwise some service departments will try to charge you to do customizations. There is an entire chapter in the manual on customization to the drver interface.
With most websites it's easier to just Google what you're looking for rather than try and find it yourself. Searching for toyota "prius v" manual finds this page: Toyota Online Owners Manuals and Warranty From there just plug in your model and year and you'll see all the manuals available to download as PDF files.
We picked up our new Prius this afternoon. We got Blizzard White with the tan interior and it is really pretty. And we were surprised that it had a double gold pin stripe along the length. Still learning about the technology package (and many other things). Thanks to all for the suggestions and advice posted on this forum. It really helped!
Welcome to PRIUSchat!! You will fall in LOVE with your new 2014 Prius 5 wagon, with the money you save, by passing up all those gas stations.
We looked at as many different colors as we could find and decided to go with Blizzard White. Of course we like it very much! We bought a model Five and it came with pin striping which was a pleasant surprise.
