How do I get the JBL radio to stop changing sources when using the channel up/down on steering wheel? It goes from FM1 to Sat
Maybe take it into the dealer? Looks like some wiring got crossed. It shouldn't do that - MODE should be the button that changes source.
The up/down button on the steering wheel goes up and down on the preset station list that you input. So if you have a SAT/XM channel next to an AM channel next to a FM channel then the up-and-down button will scroll through three sources (XM AM & FM) as you button through those three stations in your preset list. You can minimize the source skipping by keeping each sources presets next to each other in your preset list, i.e. all FM presets then all SAT presets, then any AM presets. Hope this helps.
The older radio (my past 3 JBL priis). If I was on FM on preset 6 and I pushed up it went to 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. Not 4, 5, 6, SAT 1. This makes zereo since.
My presets (adv. Tech. Pkg.) can have XM 122 on preset 1, and FM 89.9 on preset 2. Then the source changes when you scroll via steering wheel buttons from preset 1 to 2. It is up to you to keep them on separate or same preset bank of 6 presets. I get 6 banks of 6 presets for a total of 36 presets to play with. Oh I see what you are saying. You are saying it should only scroll through one bank of presets rolling around from 1 to 6 on the same bank. I just went out and checked and it rolls from the sixth preset to the next bank preset one. I guess the workaround is to know when you are on preset 6 and press back 5 times to get to preset 1 of the same bank.
