Hello everyone I've searched for this issue and haven't found a thing. There is a high pitched beep when I start my 2009 prius(with 101k miles), but there are no warning lights on the dash. So im not sure what could be causing it. I did notice the aux battery is only showing 10v on the diagnostic screen. So ill replace that soon. But that shouldnt cause the beep right? Also i say its high pitched because it is compared to the seat belt beep for example. But so far no other i
Yes, change the battery and it will probably resolve the beeping issue. I have had the car beep as you describe due to low 12 V battery issues, so I'd say yes definitely it can cause the beep. I found the beep coincides with the red triangle flashing, which I have interpreted to mean low (12V) voltage detected.
I get this same beep only when I shut off the car. Went away when I changed the battery on my remote. Same year car with 112k miles.
