This is my first post and I'm looking for help with replacing front and rear brakes. I search the forum and found how to replace front but for the rear are they pads, drums, or shoes. If you have an product number I can lookup and order that would be awesome. Thanks again.
Brakes already? How many miles? Have the front caliper pins been lubed regularly? My 2007, w/ 130K miles, is still on original pads/shoes and rotor/drum. There is over 50% of brake material left on the pads/shoes, same for the braking surface (rotor/drum). I have been buying my Parts from Camelback Toyota in AZ; close to me and free shipping if I meet their minimum, currently $150. Perhaps add other maintenance items to your brake part order to hit the minimum? Air filters, cabin air filter, oil filters, water pump, water pump belt, belt tensioner bearing, thermostat, pcv valve, crush washers for oil drain plug and transaxle plugs, etc. LINK for brake parts and pricing.
Yeah, I've seen 300k+ mile prii with all original pads/shoes still on and plenty of material left. I'd be willing to bet the rear shoes could last at least 500k miles before needing replacement. That is, unless you drove with the PKB on.
