Do I have your attention? Sorry, couldn't hep myself! If you look at these old photos of Uranus, the planet appears to be a stark, featureless ball. And even to scientists, who were able to identify more lively features of the gas giant, it was still considered pretty bland." [Broken External Image]:http://img.washingtonpost.com/news/.../uploads/sites/36/2014/11/2-cluesreveale1.jpg butt . . . Uranus might be full of surprises - The Washington Post "Scientists used to think that things were pretty chill over in the south hemisphere of Uranus. In fact, they thought it was one of the calmest regions of any of the gas giants. But in analyzing images taken nearly three decades ago by NASA's Voyager-2 spacecraft, researchers think they've found a kerfuffle of activity — which might indicate that there's something unusual about the planet's interior.
Thanks for the post - it's very interesting. But if uranus looks like that, with all the concentric circles, it's more than full of surprises. You should see a proctologist. Mine was a bit like that the other week after I went out for a particularly spicy Sichuan hotpot. Honestly, it looked like the Japanese flag.
I just love it that you used the word kerfuffle. A little out of context, but nice to see it. It caused a bit of a kerfuffle in the cabbie household. But I do think Voyager rocks.
You're right, that is a fascinating word that does need to be used more.... "kerfuffle". I keep bringing back the word "bogue". It has faded and been mostly forgotten, and my friends laugh their nice person off when I tell them "whoa....man, that was BOGUE" Anyways, if there isnt anything we can pillage, mine, and subsequently destroy from Uranus, then why are we bothering researching it?? //sarcasm
Next probe to penetrate Uranus could be sponsored by the good folks who make Preparation H. Imagine the possibilities... to boldly go where no preparation has gone before! Sorry, I couldn't help myself...
I sincerely hope that *er!......Uranus looked like the Japanese national flag rather than the Japanese Naval Ensign!
After a good Indian meal, it was more just the national flag. But honestly, after that Sichuan Hotpot, it was like the naval flag on a ship that had been torpedoed.
More like Gastronomy. Who knows? Maybe a 'renewable' energy source. You have to admit. It would be more entertaining than other 'bio-fuel' posts.
