Console Box Power Outlet Panel Issue

    Hi all,

    Just got a 2014 Prius Two last week in California.

    In the console box (under right arm for the driver), there is a USB port & power outlet. When I pull my USB device out from the power outlet, the whole panel that the power outlet is built into comes out and I can see the wires.

    The Prius was taken to a nearby dealer for service who put the panel back but did not do any paper work. After using the power outlet again today, the panel came out once again.

    What are my options since taking the Prius to the dealership for service gets old fast? Thank you

    It seems like the tabs holding it might've broke off, if that's the case deal with it or replace it

    Went back to the dealership today. The service person who placed the panel back in place said that nothing was broken. I think this is a design flaw with the panel tabs where enough removal force from the power outlet causes the panel to come off. Also, Toyota dealership didn't file any paperwork for the service today.

    I love my Prius...but this issue is driving me to insanity. Fit and finish is a big pet peeve of mine. It almost sounds like a terrible design on their behalf. Makes me upset as I use the ports but have only removed anything from there a hand full of times. Cheap plastic..grr
