Thanks!! Ok so far I have found this: Single owner car (Local), and the car was serviced at my local Toyota Dealership. Oil was changed every 5,000 (instead of the maximum 10,000 mile interval) at the dealership The body is flawless, and the tires are brand new (Goodyear Integrity) - I might sell those while they are still new and go buy a set of Michelin Energy Savers if the Integrity's prove to be horrible for mpgs. So far, after driving 28 miles, I am averaging 50.9mpg. I am really enjoying all of the menus and settings I can personalize through the touch-screen interface. I know I mentioned it before but I am also really really enjoying being able to bluetooth stream music!
Tell me how you really feel! Im a very happy Christopher tonight. I was treated very nicely at the dealership too, I am going to give them a nice review on yelp and send a letter to the general manager about my positive experience. I hate to say it.... but I dont think Im gonna be missing my Gen2
For the new whip, How many shillings did they hit you up for? Just wondering.... Silver was my number 2 color choice if I didn't get my BP. So easy to keep looking nice and clean. Oh and for back up cams, just call around to your local tint or stereo shops for quotes. It's an easy enough job and shouldn't be more than $150 or so.
I really like the silver! And the dark grey interior, which I will quickly cover up with some Clazzio seat covers anyways I negotiated the dealer to pay off my Prius and I paid $500 less for the car than they were asking. So $16,000 for a certified pre-owned NON-rental (lol) 2012 Prius II with brand new tires and 29,000 miles In contrast - I paid $13,000 for my 2007 Prius in 2012; it was 5 years old and had 54500 miles. I just paid $16,000 for a car that is only 2 years old only has 29,000 miles. With that being said, I have never brought any of my vehicles in for anything besides recalls. I do all of the maintenance & mods myself. I have already created a "soft" upgrade list...lol. I want to tint the windows, install a back up cam, install a dimming rear-view mirror with Homelink, get some heated seat kits and some Clazzios, and maybe ... just maybe... find some Persona rims or something that looks better than whatever is on there now
I bought a rental Matrix at an auction for 30% below Craigslist retail. Great condition ,engine did not burn a drop of oil in 10,000 miles. Drove it for a year and sold it for what I paid. Estate sales have great deals on low miles vehicles. An estate auction I go to has a 1991 Toyota pickup with 50,000 miles. I wish I needed it as a third car ,as its just broken in and will last another 200,000. You could buy it for less than half the tax you would pay on a new car.
Congrats!! Sell the Goodyears! They came standard on the 2005 Prius we had and they were god awful (appalling wet traction). Get a good set of all seasons (like the Energy Savers or Energy MXV4 S8) or if you don't have a separate set of winters, get all-weathers.
