Mine's rather rough and narrow at times. I complain to my gf if I see 2-3 cars over the course of 10-12 miles, during rush hour, heading towards San Jose, CA. Newly replaced single lane bridge: Sign warning of single lane, two way traffic ahead: Yes, that is the road collapsing from rains in the winter of 2012-2013: More single lane madness: Trees are getting bigger and my Prius stays the same width: Just wide enough to pass oncoming traffic:
Man, that's beautiful !!! You would hate to see my drive down here. Just picture the movie Mad Max, at a slow crawl.
Living in the Santa Cruz mountain redwoods has its advantages... ...and disadvantages... ...during the winter storms, it's advisable to carry a chainsaw. Otherwise you may not be able to get out due to the fallen trees and rock slides... ...our most abundant flora(poison oak), already out in full force, ready for the unsuspecting to rub all over their bodies... I know all about the freeway follies, from having to go to LA weekly for work throughout the 80's, 90's and 2k's. I'll be down in Dana Point in mid April for an event. I plan on heading in during the late Friday morning/early afternoon freeway follies, via the 210/57 route.
