I'm having trouble trying to figure out why the rear bumper protector in the PCshop doesn't list fitment for the 2015 PiP? It only lists fitment for 2012-2014 PiP. Is there something different in the 2015 PiP rear bumper or something? I also checked with my local Toyota dealer and they also don't list fitment for the 2015 PiP.
The rear bumper protector fits perfectly on the PiP, even though a part number isn't listed. I added one to my own last year when I bought mine - same color as yours. There is nothing different about the rear bumper.
Thanks for your reply. Yours is a 2014, which is listed in PCshop as confirmed fitment. I guess they haven't updated the site for 2015 models yet?
I thought I could look up the bumper protector on Toyota's parts website, but it looks like I can only look up regular parts. But FWIW, the rear bumper cover for the PiP is part number 52159-47905 and fits builds from 01/2012 to 06/2015 (interesting, it has a June 2015 end date.. hmm). So just to re-affirm what se-riously said, rest assured the rear bumper cover is the same for 2015 (well, at least until June per the database)
Thanks for the update. Mine has a 2/15 production date so I guess I'm safe. I guess they're going to stop building 2015 Prius after June? I also looked up the rear bumper part number 52159-47905. Toyota lists this as fitment for all GenIII Prius and PiP. So I guess it does fit. Thanks for the help.
Guessing they are going to retool the factory between June and September for the next gen, 2016 model year.
