This is my third Prius - my first Prius v. I don't know why they change the display all the time - this new one confused me. - is there anyway to see 5 minute consumption, or does it have to be 1 minute? - what does the Eco score show? How is it computed? - what are the different miles per gallon? Is the average when I am on odometer for the whole time or since the last tank of gas? - on the lower display, how is the current and average and best computer? How can current be more than best? - is there any place to enter my gas price and see savings. Thanks!
Can't answer the other questions because I don't have a Prius V, but current is the mileage at that exact instant. So if you're traveling downhill and aren't using any gas, the "current" will be higher than you're overall "average" mileage and will fluctuate all the time. "Best" is the highest of the "average" that you've obtained amongst all the resets. So for example, if you reset every tank, "best" will show the highest tank ever, "average" will show the tank you're using, and "current" will show at this moment.
The 2015 has all new displays, so only 2015 owners can help and there's only a few around here. I'd suggest a thorough reading of the manual, then come back with any unanswered questions. I know several of them will be answered in the manual.
After having a good read of the 2015 prius v owner's manual, I have found the following: - Didn't see how to change to 5 minute consumption stat bars. - Eco score is a number 0 - 100 that show how efficiently or economically you have been driving. It gives you a 0 - 5 rating for how efficiently/gradual you perform in accelerating, cruising, and stopping/slowing. The manual does not say how the final Eco score is calculated and I have not seen it posted on here on PriusChat. - different miles per gallon (A, B, Odometer) show average MPG for that trip setting (A, B, Odometer) since last reset (press and hold trip) of that trip setting. - on the lower display, current is instantaneous, average is average since last Odometer MPG reset (press and hold trip while showing Odometer on top display, or by pressing Update on lower display (Trip Information -> Past Record -> Update) See page 112 of user manual. Best is the best average Odometer reset MPG number. If you never reset odometer MPG or press that Update button then Best will be you vehicle lifetime MPG and should match Odometer Avg. MPG. - I did not see any place to enter gas price and see savings in owner's manual.
