Dead Electric Motor for Science Education

    I'm looking to show how we turn electricity into motion. While we'll demonstrate using simpler motors, I'd LOVE to show how strong this concept can get. Since we'll be showing up at elementary schools in Prii, I'd love to show a Prius electric motor if possible.

    If you are near the Philadelphia area or anywhere in NJ, and happen to have or know of a scrap Prius Electric motor, any generation, please PM me. Thanks!

    Uh those thing are 'finger crushing' dangerous. An RC motor would be much safer around elementary kids.

    This is a pair of videos about the Prius electrics. Notice that in the first video the magnet 'attack'.


    At about 7:10 a magnet he sets down at about 1:10 latches on to his pocket.

    Rats and I chose the simpler Gen 2 video rather than its more complex Gen 3 counterpoint.

    I would be happy if the elementary kids get the feeling it works due to rules and not magic. Otherwise they become congressmen.
