Anyone purchased a 2015 prius 2 or 3 recently and would like to share the OTD price you got (for Financing through Toyota) and if you think it is a good deal? If so which dealership in SOCAL? Anyone know what the deals will be in June or July? I am looking to purchase a 2 sometime in JUNE and am not sure if I should purchase it sooner so I can get the $1,000 off deal they are currently offering. PLEASE SHARE
Hi Bemypenny, I got a Prius Two in nautical blue over the weekend and my OTD price ($2k rebate) was $23k. Note, I'm in the SoCal region and gas prices are around $4/gallon. I took advantage of the Memorial day weekend promos going on and got my mom the prius. I didn't use the 0% financing through Toyota because going through my credit union was cheaper. One thing to note about 0% financing is that they'll up the price of the car so they cover for the 0% financing. The fact that you qualify for 0% financing means that you'll already be saving, but I don't think a dealer would give you the price that they would give to a non-financer. After doing the calculations, I actually save money going with my CU's low auto loan rate and going with the 2k rebate. So, do the math. If you have solid credit (and I assume you do because you qualify for 0%), I bet you could get a good auto loan that could save you more. In terms of when to buy, I'm not sure when the next deal will be, but Memorial Day Weekend and Labor Day Weekend (sept) are the industries biggest sale times. You might wanna do some research to see if Toyota historically has equivalent sales in June/July (independence day weekend might have some sales). Good luck!
