Hello! I found a heck of a deal on a 2014 Prius v with 2K miles and certified by Toyota! This is my first hybrid and I've had great luck so far. I'll post one technical question elsewhere when I find the right spot to do that. The only thing I've done so far is to get rid of the Bridgestone stock tires which I didn't think handled very well. It's riding much better on a new set of Pirellis! Here's a couple pics. Looks like a lot of us like the Blizzard Pearl color! The first was taken at the dealership in PA and the second at Kent State. I paid 22K which was a great deal compared to what I could find locally. So far it's been a great car! I did see the high temp light flicker on the dash a couple days ago, so it's going to the dealer to have that checked out. Any of you have any issues with overheating or flakey dash lights?
Thanks! By the way, where in the settings do I select to get an email notification when someone replies to a thread I'm active in? All the boxes are checked under "Alert Preferences", but I'm not seeing any emails. I'm not accustomed to checking the site often but would if I got a notice.
How's the pirellis so far? A buddy here also will be replacing oem tires with lots of cracks on his '14 V after 20k miles and choosing between Bridgestone Serenity Plus or Michelin energy saver as they are in good deals now at DiscountTire.com and 4WheelOnline.com
Thanks, everyone. I put Pirelli Cinturato P7s on the Prius v at Discount Tire and am very happy with them so far. They are top rated at Tirerack. The other tire I considered was the Michelin Premier. The Pirellis were priced a bit lower and Discount will match any price and I love their service and the fact that they are all over the country, at least where I seem to travel. There's also a $60 rebate gift card available now from Pirelli. After the rebate, it cost just a shade over $500 out the door. I put the Bridgestone's on Craigslist and hope to get $50 to $60 each for them.
