I have a 2005 Prius recently replaced the hybrid battery. Not so happy with it, my mpg b4 was 49-51 mpg, now I only get 40-45 mpg. Anybody know y? I notice the car is a little weaker and the ICE rev higher everytime I accelerate.
probably botched the rebuilding job. if each cell isn't in complete harmony with the earth's rotation? you're undone.
My recommendation is to go back to the place that installed your HV battery and get them to double check everything. I suspect there is a fault within your new HV battery. I have a 2005 Prius with 83k miles. 4 weeks ago I began getting DTC codes (P0A80). I could reset the code with my Scangauge, but the DTC code would come back the next time I drove the car. Performance decreased greatly after the code came up. The ICE would run all the time and the car would only go about 40 mph max. mpg was awful, only about 30 mpg. After doing some diagnosis, I replaced 2 modules inside my hybrid battery myself, following instructions posted here: Gen II Prius Individual Battery Module Replacement | PriusChat My mpg immediately went from 30 to >40 after I fixed my hybrid battery. I haven't had any more DTC codes, and the car is running great. -EB
