And I'm pretty sure stock cars have to follow some max sound level regulation.

I can enjoy a good engine note, but that isn't the same as being loud. It's the difference between a stereo that has great audio definition and one that is just bass kickers. What's the point of the music if you can't make it out from excessive noise added by the system?

Correct but the ever more "I want my car to be quiet on the commute but have that engine note on the Sunday drive" means this sort of thing has to be implemented. Manufacturers have shown it can be done (sort of) and the days of compromising and dealing with the noise day in and day out are slowly going by.

I call my solution to cabin noise a radio.:D

Haven't experienced yet, but I like the idea of the resonator pipe. Using the sound system just seems dishonest.

Here's a question; if the car has active noise cancelling system, and this speaker engine noise, will car smack you if you use both at once?

It cancels out the low rumblings of a V8 and all you hear are the higher pitched tones. lol.

I'm sure it turns of ANC, if equipped, when you press the button with the exhaust pipe icon.
