So, I got sick of trying to search my downloaded mess of pdf's from techinfo.toyota.com, so I built a simple html index file. There are actually two, one for the Repair Manual, and one for the Wiring Manual. In order to use these files, you must first download the pdf's of the repair manual at techinfo.toyota.com, and MAINTAIN THE DIRECTORY STRUCTURE. If you put all the pdf's in a folder, or renamed them, these files are useless. For the wiring diagram, "04PriWir.htm" needs to go into the "2004" folder, the same folder containing the "04priuse" folder. For the repair manual, "04PriMan.htm" needs to go into the "2004" folder, the same folder containing the "04priusf" folder. Then, just open the file with your web browser, and click the section you want. Feel free to improve these files and repost them. I was thinking of seperating out the diagnostic section into t a seperate file linked in from the first one, but as you all know, I'm very lazy, so I probably won't get around to it. Nate
That looks great! I just spent a few hours downloading everything from the techinfo site for my 06. Well worth the $10. I found it hard to sort through everything and something like that would help. Luckly I did some searching and found that someone had downloaded and created "books" of the downloaded files and made chapters in the pdf files. I just searched for "prius' without the quotes on mininova.org. I also spent a few dollers and a few hours downloading a few pdf on the euro techdoc site for some of my other mods i'm going to do soon. Good work on your files. I'm sure you helped a lot of people.
Are these files still available, I don't seem to be able to look at any of them? I get file not found.

What's wrong with the files under http://techno-fandom.org/~hobbit/cars/TIS/ ?? Where are the 24 files concerning the power door locks that you appear to be missing? Why have you lost the top-level directory structure, from ileaf/04toyrm/04toypdf/04rmsour/2004/ above where your links start, without which you'll have a much harder time downloading by absolute filename? . I cannot help but think that some of your time would have been better spent searching for prior art on this very subject -- http://priuschat.com/index.php?showtopic=18221 http://priuschat.com/index.php?showtopic=16936 http://priuschat.com/index.php?showtopic=12889 ... ad nauseum ... And by not grabbing the tech-training stuff along with, you miss out on a lot of good reading material. . _H*
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(hobbit @ May 1 2006, 03:52 PM) </div> Is this reply meant for me? If so, I don't understand it. Are some links in my files broken/ missing? Do you want the index file to reside further up? (This is easily changed). Please elaborate. Nate
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(theforce @ Apr 8 2006, 03:55 PM) </div> They don't seem to be available on mininova.org for the past week or so. No seeds, no peers. Perhaps someone could post them on the usenet to alt.binaries.e-book.technical (hint).
How 'bout we NOT associate priuschat with random offshore cracking sites, okay? A complete manual for ten bucks is not any particular hardship, especially when you've got the whole map of it laid out in front of you. . _H*
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(hobbit @ May 1 2006, 02:52 PM) </div> Would LOVE to see some "prior art" on the 2006 files. Have files... need index! Don't want to duplicate anybody's effort if it has already been done! Thanks to everybody who's done this for prior years. Very helpful!
