Just wanted to introduce myself to this forum and share my good fortune. 4 days ago, after attending a meeting with the owner of the company and the General Manager, the GM said he wanted to see me privately after the meeting. The Owner left. The GM walked into his office where I was sitting and tossed me the "key" to a brand new Prius. The first one in the fleet! Wow, this was the car my wife wanted! I am fortunate to be associated with this company as you can understand. Will lurk here to gather knowledge and share my experience.
Yes, I get to take the car home. I'm on call 24-7. This makes it better. Was not planning to buy one myself.

I suggested that my company replace all their work vans with Prii, especially since we are now internationally ISO 14001 compliant. The vans are basically just white with stickers. Piece of cake. With the amount of driving these guys do and the increasing price of gas and the bad mileage they're currently getting with those vans, I think there's a strong argument. Not for all-out replacing, mind you, but for replacing slowly when a van gets retired.

The city of Seattle has several Prii in their fleet already. The problem is that the production capacity isn't there to meet the demand yet.
