Yellow arrows going to wheels AND battery

    Hi priuschat! Long time lurker first time poster. I have a question about my 2009 prius.

    This happened yesterday. I was driving on and off for about 70 mi. when my car started doing something Ive never seen before. While going uphill I noticed the energy monitor had the usual flow from the ICE to the wheels, and the electric motor with yellow arrows going to the wheels. Normal enough. But what stuck me as strange was the electric motor was also sending yellow arrows back into the battery at the same time. I usually only get one direction or the other

    Is this normal?

    normal. since your demand didn't require full power from the motor, it sent the excess into the battery.
