In an attempt to bring radio music back into my life, I got a home SiriusXM radio for Xmas. In DC metro we had one of the best Smooth Jazz stations FM105.9, which got taken off the air 6 yrs ago as part of the death of the Citadel Broadcasting empire. So I am listening to Sirius Watercolors at home. Fidelity seems decent. I also got a Google radio for on-line..have not compared sound quality yet. Never had Sirius in the car. I need a DJ to interpret the jazz and tell who the artists are etc. I Iike it so far but it's not as good as a local 105.9 with concerts etc. Billy Joel channel coming soon..see I like to hear not just music but some tips from the DJs. Main difference from 6 yrs ago, more Herb Alpert! He is still active at 80.
Herb Albert! Didn't know anyone else knew who he was. As for music, Google Play seems to have Good selections
I've had Sirius and now I guess it's called Sirius / XM for years now on and off, but mostly on. It is true that they have for some reason (money) added tons more commercials on all channels. It is quite annoying on a pay to use service but I guess somewhat understandable. I still enjoy it very much and when commercials come on I simply flip to another fav. Channel. Oh and pls never pay full price for the service. Always call and ask for customer retention a few days prior to your service expiring and ask for the lower rate..
