Where are you mounting your ScanGuage II? I currently have mine on the steering column via velcro (like most people) and I'm getting tired of not being able to see the bottom row of gauges properly and want to figure out a better mounting position. So post up what you got. Thanks! I did a quick search and did not find any recent good threads with pictures.
I set mine a little further back, on the dash. I "temporarily" secured it with a couple of loops of masking tape, acting like double-sided tape. It actually stays on there fine, so I left it like that. I'll pull it off to clean the dash, every once in a long while, doesn't leave any residue. We're garage stored though, not parking in hot sun that much. Visibility is ideal in that position.
I also mounted it to be immediately visible through the steering wheel, but I shaped a wood block to the required compound curves of the dash to serve as the base. It seems to be both durable and stable, so next step would be to paint to match the dash.
I made a mount and used industrial strength Velcro to put it above my wide mirror. I can see it at a glance, and the steering wheel doesn't obstruct the gauges while turning. Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
